This Saturday August 27th will be the last time dinner and drinks as you know it will be served at The Naked Grape. Why, you ask? Are they leaving? Going out of business? Nothing couldn’t be further from the truth. The Naked Grape is evolving to bring you a new and exciting wine experience. “Now it’s all about the wine.”
THE NAKED GRAPE ENOTECA IS COMING THIS FALL!
Unique to Sewickley, as well as within the United States, Enoteca is an Italian word used to describe a special type of local or regional wine shop that originated in Italy. The concept of an enoteca has spread to other countries and now Sewickley! You will be able to sample new imported wines never before available in Pennsylvania. These wines will be available to order for home consumption, which is currently a difficult process in the state of Pennsylvania. This “wine boutique” concept will allow you to enjoy “Lite Bites” at The Grape while you taste exceptional vineyard highlights and order your favorite choices with a variety of options for pick up or delivery! The owner, Ryta, will now offer wine tasting classes, wine flight adventure nights, wine dinners and special events. They will still offer the ability to cater your events and parties, and will host several in the month of September and October.

Owners, David and Ryta traveled to Italy where they not only got engaged, but also fell in love. With the casual atmosphere and welcoming feel of Tuscany, one can really feel David and Ryta’s passion for wine and this region. The Naked Grape wine-tasting room was designed to capture the beauty, warmth and Italian hospitality the couple experienced along the Mediterranean coast and brought back with them to Pittsburgh.
Their goal was to create a space where guests with varying degrees of knowledge and experience—from wine novice to wine expert—would feel at ease. “Escape to The Grape!” They willl greet your palate where it is and take your taste buds where they want to go.
